What is a Leadership COP
Our Leadership Community of Practice is designed with the educational leader in mind. Meeting four times a year, the COP provides meaningful content based on the needs and input of participants. Opportunities are provided for job-a-like participants to engage in facilitated discussions on the formal content followed by opportunities to meet with peers for informal collaboration. Districts who sign up teams, will be provided a room to engage in their own follow up discussions.
What does it look like?
Each session begins with a formal interactive presentation based on the prioritized input of our participants. Presented by guest speakers and our knowledgeable staff, these presentations are highly engaging and incorporate current research and relevant topics that build skills, efficacy, and agency.
Following the formal presentation, participants are given the opportunity to gather with job-a-like peers (i.e. elementary leaders, middle school leaders, high school leaders, etc.) to engage in a facilitated collaborative conversation around the topic.
Closing out the session, participants have the option to self-select a variety of rooms to informally continue the dialogue and connect with peers across the country. Organizations with multiple participants have the opportunity to meet with their group furthering the conversation.
